The BLAZEWING: Yes, here's one of our star fighters check it out.
Blazewing
The Blazewing is extremely fast and heavily armed. It is an interceptor. It has an oval-shaped, stubby body, and delta wings. At the back of the wings, embedded in them, are the engines: Four J-44 engines, the engine of which the A-Wing has two, mounted two per wing.
The front of the body flares out to allow a massive ball turret, wider in diameter than the fuselage is except at the end of the frontal flare. This turret holds three turbocharged laser cannons and a proton torpedo launcher with 3 torpedoes. The turret can orient the weapons on it to cover any point in the entire front hemisphere.
Most of the hull is taken up by the reactor, a multiflux unit that generates quite a lot of power. The fighter could not fit the reactor normally, but by using a network of unique chemical heat sinks, the reactor was squeezed in. However, the entire cooling system has to be replaced after every mission, a very lengthy process and an expensive one as well, as the advanced chemical units are not cheap. Furthermore, if the cooling system should spring a leak due to damage or poor maintainence, not only will the fighter soon overheat, causing it to destroy itself, but even if the reactor is off, the chemicals from the cooling system will cause irreperable damage to the innards of the fighter.
The cockpit is similar to that on the A-Wing. The fighter cannot hold a second person, so the pilot must handle the flying, the regulation of the power from the reactor, a necessary thing due to the huge amounts of power put out by the reactor (which would cause the ship tro fry itself if the power was not regulated correctly) and on top of those the turret, which would alone be enough work for a gunner. Thus, only the most skilled of pilots can be assigned to the fighter.
There was little room for manuvering jets, especially since the hull had to be made so that it could withstand manuvers at the incredibly high speeds that the Blazewing could reach. To make the fighter not entirely unmanuverable, it has been equipped with thrust vectoring, which because of the power of its engines allows it to be fairly agile, but its agility is not equal to that of the A-Wing.
Sensors and computers are miniaturized, as they had to be to fit; this makes them damage-prone, expensive, and maintainence-heavy. One good hit could fry all of both systems, and if damaged, replacing them would be costly.
Shields, also, had to be small to fit, but the large amounts of power availiable when the sublight engines were not needed (i.e. hyperspace) allowed for a Class 1 hyperdrive.

HELLHOUND: Here's another star fighter, check it out.
Hellhound
The Hellhound has two equally-sized cylindrical hulls, one above the other. Each hull has a J-44 engine, the same engine used on the A-Wing, on either side of it, for a total of four engines. The vessel is larger than an A-Wing, though, and thus is slower despite having twice the engine power. It is still very fast, though.
The top hull contains the cockpit, a cramped room for sleeping and storage, and a single prisoner cell. While this is less than average prisoner storage for a bounty hunter, it is better than nothing and unless the prisoners are of a strong race (wookies, trandoshans, etc), two or even three can be packed into the small cell. It also contains the ship’s reactor (which uses multiflux technology to provide more power for the same size, but with more cost) and a pair of shield generators. The cockpit is on the front of the hull, like on a TIE, and also like a TIE, it has a pair of laser cannons mounted in the chin position on this hull.
The bottom hull contains a massive hyperdrive unit and a sensor and communications jamming array twice as powerful as that on the A-Wing. In the front of it, where the cockpit is on the top hull, it has a sensor unit. This sensor unit is large and sensitive. Beneath it, in the chin positions, where the lasers are on the top hull, it has a pair of ion cannons.
Both the laser cannons and the ion cannons have been upgraded such that all their attributes are increased.
Outboard of each engine is a large pod. Each pod contains a concussion missile launcher. The firing tube for the launcher is double-ended, so it can fire either forwards or backwards. A retractable plate covers up the opening that it is not firing out of. Each pod contains six missiles. Since there are four of these pods, the ship can lay out massive damage via concussion missiles either forwards or backwards.
Connected to each pod is a short wing. The wings are packed with manuvering jets.
The connector in between the hulls is filled by a tractor beam unit.
To do all that it is supposed to do, though, the ship had to be extremely well designed. The design team realized that exceptional capability was more often by modification than design. So they built a prototype that was the best they could make, then kept modifying it. A bounty hunter (name undisclosed) was hired to consult. Eventually, they wound up with the finished version, described here. This process worked, but made the ship extremely expensive.
But symmetrical and with the middle part a bit narrower, like a slightly elongated equals sign rotated so that the lines are vertical; the font the boards use won't let me get it quite right)
The Os are the hulls, the 0s are the engines, the os are the missile pods, the -s are the wings, and the | | is the connector between the hulls. To view correctly, use Times New Roman.
One part of the modification involved upgrading the main computer. Eventually, when the computer was the best it could be, to improve capabilities further, an advanced AI, with humanlike, not droidlike, behavior, was added. The AI improves the performance of the computer significantly, and by automatically tweaking power flows with its AI intelligence, it also improves the performance of the ship. The personality is randomly generated when the computer is first started up. The computer is very integrated into the ship, for better reaction time and more detailed reports, and if the AI is removed, the computer will crash and fry itself, necessitating thousands upon thousands of credits of work. Thus, buyers are advised to look through the availiable ships until they meet one who they like.
